How do I download a video from a website?
Copy the video's link, paste it into ViralMint's Video Download page and press Download — the file is saved to your computer as an MP4. ViralMint runs yt-dlp locally, which recognises more than 1,800 sites, so a site without a guide on this page usually works anyway. If a link fails, the app tells you why (login needed, region-locked, removed) instead of saving an empty file.
Is the video downloader free?
The desktop app is free and open source (AGPL-3.0), and everyday downloading is covered by a free daily allowance. Heavier use costs about 1¢ per video from prepaid credit. ViralMint never adds a watermark, ads or a captcha to what you save.
Can I download videos on iPhone or Android?
Not directly — ViralMint is a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, because yt-dlp and the file both live on your own computer. Download on the computer, then move the file to your phone with AirDrop, a USB cable or a cloud drive. The browser version at viralmint.net/app covers the cloud AI features, not downloading.
Can I download private or login-only videos?
Only videos your own account can already watch. ViralMint can reuse the login cookies of a browser on the same computer, so members-only or age-gated videos you are signed in to download like public ones. It does not bypass private accounts, paywalls or DRM-protected streams such as Netflix.
Can I save just the audio as MP3?
Yes. The Extract Audio tool pulls an MP3 or M4A straight from a video link without downloading the picture. To change the format of a file you already have, use the video converter.
Can I download several videos at once?
Yes — paste up to 20 links, one per line, and they download as one batch. For YouTube and TikTok, the Channels view can also pull a creator's top videos by outlier score. A playlist or channel link pasted into the download box is saved as a single video, not opened up into its whole list.
