TikTok Money Calculator

The ViralMint TikTok Money Calculator is a free tool that estimates how much a TikToker earns from the Creator Rewards Program. While the old TikTok Creator Fund famously paid pennies, the new Creator Rewards Program pays competitive rates for original videos longer than 1 minute. Enter your total views and estimated RPM below to calculate how much you could earn from a viral TikTok. Remember that TikTok only pays on "Qualified Views" (typically 40-60% of total views). No sign-up required.

Estimated Creator Rewards payout $300.00
Qualified views
500,000
Low estimate $0.40 RPM
$200.00
High estimate $1.00 RPM
$500.00

An estimate, not a quote. TikTok does not publish RPM, and it moves with your audience country, niche and watch time. Treat the low/high band as the realistic range.

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?

Unlike YouTube, TikTok does not have traditional pre-roll or mid-roll ads attached to specific videos. Instead, they pay out of a pool called the Creator Rewards Program. Your RPM (Revenue Per Mille, or per 1,000 views) depends on the geography of your audience and your content niche.

  • Entertainment & Lip-syncing: ~$0.10 - $0.30 per 1,000 qualified views
  • Education & Tech: ~$0.50 - $0.80 per 1,000 qualified views
  • Finance & Business: ~$0.80 - $1.20+ per 1,000 qualified views

What is a Qualified View?

TikTok's biggest caveat is that they don't pay you for every view you get. The formula is:
Estimated Earnings = (Qualified Views ÷ 1,000) × RPM

To be counted as a "Qualified View," the viewer must:

  • Watch the video for at least 5 seconds.
  • Watch the video from the "For You" Page (FYP). Views from your profile page or from shares do not count.
  • Not be a bot or paid traffic.

Because of these strict rules, usually only 40% to 60% of a video's total views are actually qualified for monetization.

Cross-posting to YouTube? The YouTube Money Calculator runs the same views-times-RPM estimate against AdSense rates, which are several times higher per 1,000 views.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?
Under the new Creator Rewards Program (formerly Creativity Program Beta), TikTok pays significantly more than the old Creator Fund. RPM (revenue per 1,000 qualified views) typically ranges from $0.50 to $1.00 for original videos over 1 minute in length. In high-paying niches like finance, it can occasionally reach $1.50+.
What counts as a 'Qualified View' on TikTok?
TikTok does not pay for all views. To be a 'qualified view' and earn money, the viewer must watch the video for at least 5 seconds, they must be watching from a For You feed (not your profile), and they cannot be a bot or paid view. Typically, only 40% to 60% of total views on a viral video are qualified.
What are the requirements for the TikTok Creator Rewards Program?
To monetize on TikTok, you must be 18 years or older, have at least 10,000 authentic followers, and have accrued at least 100,000 authentic video views in the last 30 days. Most importantly, only videos longer than 1 minute are eligible to earn ad revenue.
