Frequently asked
What URLs work?
Any public article, blog post, or news page. ViralMint fetches the page and extracts the main article text with a multi-layer reader pipeline (trafilatura, with HTML fallbacks). Paywalled or login-gated pages that hide their body text won't extract cleanly — paste an accessible source instead.
How long is the generated video?
The AI targets a 30–45 second script (roughly 90–120 words) — the sweet spot for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok. Longer articles are summarized to the most punchy through-line rather than read in full.
Where does the background footage come from?
ViralMint matches the article's topic to a license-cleared Pexels stock clip automatically, then loops and crops it to your chosen aspect ratio. The footage is royalty-free and safe to monetize.
What does it cost?
About $0.06 per video, flat, with no subscription. The free Edge voice adds nothing; the premium Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS voice is billed separately per 1,000 characters if you pick it. No watermark, no per-minute meter.
Can I edit the script before it renders?
The URL → Short tool is one-shot for speed. If you want to tweak the script first, use the Smart Video tool in the desktop app — paste or generate a script, edit it, then generate. The two share the same captioned-short engine.
