ViralMint is a desktop app for macOS / Windows / Linux that scouts trending videos, analyzes competitors with Whisper + AI, and generates original AI videos with captions, voice and music. A browser-based lite version at /app exposes the cloud-only features (chat, image, voice, music) under the same account.

Our Mission

Content creation shouldn't require expensive subscriptions or technical expertise. ViralMint gives solo creators the same AI-powered pipeline that large studios use — trend discovery, competitor analysis, AI scripting, AI video, AI captions and AI voice — for less than a dollar a finished video.

Unlike cloud-based tools that charge $30–50/month with usage caps you can't see, ViralMint is pay-as-you-go. A free daily allowance covers light use. When you want to generate at scale, you top up prepaid USD via Stripe — no subscription, no auto-renew, and a per-user $30/day spend cap so a forgotten background job can't drain a top-up.

Why ViralMint Exists

The content creator tool market has a gap: tools like vidIQ and TubeBuddy help with YouTube SEO analytics but don't create videos. Tools like InVideo and Opus Clip create videos but don't help you find what to create. And subscription-based AI video tools charge a flat monthly fee whether you generate one video or fifty.

ViralMint bridges this gap with a complete pipeline — from trend discovery to a finished mp4 — at honest, per-use pricing. The desktop app does the heavy local lifting (yt-dlp, Whisper, FFmpeg) so the cloud bill stays small, and the cloud backend handles only what genuinely needs a GPU (chat, image, video, voice, music).

Open Source

The ViralMint desktop app is open source under the AGPL-3.0 license. The full source code lives at github.com/openclaw-easy/ViralMint — backend agents, the Smart Video pipeline, Whisper integration, the React frontend, the modular tools page, and every test. Read it, audit it, run it from source, fork it.

We chose AGPL-3.0 (not MIT, not Apache) deliberately. AGPL requires that derivative works operating as a network service publish their modifications under the same license. This protects the open-core model: anyone can build on ViralMint as long as they keep downstream improvements open. The cloud backend that powers paid features (AI chat, image, voice, music) is closed-source — but that's optional. You can run the desktop entirely offline against your own Whisper / yt-dlp / FFmpeg without ever touching our cloud.

How We Make Money

ViralMint is a paid product with a generous free tier — no ads, no data resale, no BYOK. AI provider keys never leave our cloud (they live in AWS Secrets Manager); when you generate something, we pay the AI provider and you pay us a small markup that targets ~50% margin per action. That's the entire business model.

Top-ups are one-time Stripe payments — no auto-renewal, no surprise charges. You can see every charged action and your remaining balance on the account page, and the cloud's pricing endpoint (api.viralmint.net/billing/pricing) is the source of truth.
